COMPETENCE BUILDS CONFIDENCE

I completely agree with this.  The better you are at doing something the more confidence you have.  From studying in school, learning a new skill, learning to clean the house, practicing a musical instrument and endless other things.  The more you practice the better you become.  So keep practicing and doing what you are doing.  Even if it seems like a struggle and it's easier to quit.  Don't.

If you follow me on Instagram you have seen my posts on my Job Zone Chart.  I'm trying to teach my kids how to clean, I mean really clean, our house.  I feel that it is super important to teach our kids the fundamentals of life.  Too often now our kids are get things done for them, they are being babied, and not taught how to be functioning members of our society.  Sure at first I wanted to quit because it was more of a chore for me to go over with each of my 5 children how to wipe down a cabinet door or how to clean a toilet.  But the longer we stick to it the easier it becomes.  My hope is that one day it will sink in and they will be super confident and have the knowledge and skills to do it all on their own.  So I keep going.  I want them to have the competence to build their confidence.  Because I love them.  I want them to succeed.
